What is kwin-dev

kwin-dev is:

KWin (pronounced as one syllable “kwin”) is the window manager for the KDE Plasma Desktop. It gives you complete control over your windows, making sure they’re not in the way but aid you in your task. It paints the window decoration, the bar on top of every window with (configurable) buttons like close, maximize and minimize. It also handles placing of windows and switching between them.

This package is part of the KDE base workspace module.

There are three methods to install kwin-dev on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install kwin-dev Using apt-get

How To Uninstall kwin-dev on Ubuntu 18.04

To uninstall only the kwin-dev package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove kwin-dev

To uninstall kwin-dev and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove kwin-dev

Remove kwin-dev Configurations and Data

To remove kwin-dev configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge kwin-dev

We can use the following command to remove kwin-dev configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
