What is kvirc
kvirc is:
A highly configurable graphical IRC client with an MDI interface, built-in scripting language, support for IRC DCC, drag & drop file browsing, and much more. KVIrc uses the KDE widget set, can be extended using its own scripting language, integrates with KDE, and supports custom plugins.
If you’re looking for a simple and plain IRC client, KVIrc is probably the wrong choice as it is rather big. But if you want a highly customizable client you won’t regret the installation.
There are three methods to install kvirc
on Debian 11. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude

Install kvirc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install kvirc
using apt-get

To uninstall only the kvirc

sudo apt-get -y autoremove kvirc
Remove kvirc Configurations and Data
To remove kvirc
configuration and data from Debian 11 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge kvirc
