How To Install kuvert on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install kuvert on Kali Linux.
What is kuvert
kuvert is:
kuvert automatically signs and/or encrypts outgoing mail using the PGP/MIME standard (RFC3156), based on the availability of the recipient’s key in your keyring. Other than similar wrappers, kuvert does not store key passphrases itself, ever. kuvert works as a wrapper around your MTA but can be fed mails via SMTP, too.
There are three methods to install kuvert on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install kuvert Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install kuvert using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install kuvertInstall kuvert Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install kuvert using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install kuvertInstall kuvert Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install kuvert using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install kuvertHow To Uninstall kuvert on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the kuvert package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove kuvertUninstall kuvert And Its Dependencies
To uninstall kuvert and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove kuvertRemove kuvert Configurations and Data
To remove kuvert configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge kuvertRemove kuvert configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove kuvert configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge kuvertDependencies
