How To Install kubernetes-node on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install kubernetes-node on Kali Linux.
What is kubernetes-node
kubernetes-node is:
Kubernetes is a portable, extensible, open-source platform for managing containerized workloads and services, that facilitates both declarative configuration and automation. It has a large, rapidly growing ecosystem. Kubernetes services, support, and tools are widely available.
Currently this package only ships the kubelet and the kube-proxy binaries. Configuration, including connecting to the Kubernetes control plane (via kubeconfig) will has to be created via other means.
There are three methods to install kubernetes-node on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install kubernetes-node Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install kubernetes-node using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install kubernetes-nodeInstall kubernetes-node Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install kubernetes-node using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install kubernetes-nodeInstall kubernetes-node Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install kubernetes-node using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install kubernetes-nodeHow To Uninstall kubernetes-node on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the kubernetes-node package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove kubernetes-nodeUninstall kubernetes-node And Its Dependencies
To uninstall kubernetes-node and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove kubernetes-nodeRemove kubernetes-node Configurations and Data
To remove kubernetes-node configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge kubernetes-nodeRemove kubernetes-node configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove kubernetes-node configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge kubernetes-nodeDependencies
