How To Install ksh93 on Ubuntu 20.04

What is ksh93
ksh93 is:
Ksh is a UNIX command interpreter (shell) that is intended for both interactive and shell script use. Its command language is a superset of the sh(1) shell language.
The 1993 version adds a number of new, mostly scripting related, features over the 1988 version that is typically distributed with commercial UNIX variants. For example, it has lexical scoping, compound variables, associative arrays, named references and floating point math.
The shcomp tool can be used to compile ksh scripts into a binary format.

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install ksh93 using apt-get by running the following command:

After updating apt database, We can install ksh93 using apt by running the following command:

Install ksh93 Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install ksh93 using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install ksh93
How To Uninstall ksh93 on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the ksh93 package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove ksh93
Uninstall ksh93 And Its Dependencies
To uninstall ksh93 and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove ksh93
Remove ksh93 Configurations and Data
To remove ksh93 configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge ksh93
