How To Install krb5-sync-tools on Ubuntu 18.04

What is krb5-sync-tools
krb5-sync-tools is:
Provides tools to enable, disable, and set the password of an account in a Windows Active Directory using the same configuration used by the krb5-sync-plugin package. These supporting tools are normally used to handle queued changes created by the plugin that failed due to a temporary error, but can be used on their own.
There are three methods to install krb5-sync-tools on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install krb5-sync-tools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install krb5-sync-tools using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install krb5-sync-tools

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install krb5-sync-tools using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install krb5-sync-tools
Install krb5-sync-tools Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install krb5-sync-tools using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install krb5-sync-tools
How To Uninstall krb5-sync-tools on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the krb5-sync-tools package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove krb5-sync-tools

To uninstall krb5-sync-tools and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove krb5-sync-tools

To remove krb5-sync-tools configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge krb5-sync-tools

We can use the following command to remove krb5-sync-tools configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge krb5-sync-tools
