on CentOS 7.
What is krb5-server
Kerberos is a network authentication system. The krb5-server package contains the programs that must be installed on a Kerberos 5 key distribution center (KDC). If you are installing a Kerberos 5 KDC, you need to install this package (in other words, most people should NOT install this package).
We can use yum
or dnf
to install krb5-server
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install krb5-server.
Install krb5-server on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install krb5-server
using yum

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
