How To Install krb5-doc on Debian 10

on Debian 10.
What is krb5-doc
krb5-doc is:
Kerberos is a system for authenticating users and services on a network. Kerberos is a trusted third-party service. That means that there is a third party (the Kerberos server) that is trusted by all the entities on the network (users and services, usually called “principals”).
This is the MIT reference implementation of Kerberos V5.
This package contains the installation, administrator, and user reference manuals for MIT Kerberos and the man pages for the MIT Kerberos configuration files.
There are three methods to install krb5-doc
on Debian 10. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install krb5-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install krb5-doc
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install krb5-doc

After updating apt database, We can install krb5-doc

Install krb5-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install krb5-doc
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install krb5-doc
How To Uninstall krb5-doc on Debian 10
To uninstall only the krb5-doc
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove krb5-doc
Uninstall krb5-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall krb5-doc
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 10, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove krb5-doc
Remove krb5-doc Configurations and Data
To remove krb5-doc
configuration and data from Debian 10 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge krb5-doc
