What is kpatch
kpatch is a live kernel patch module manager. It allows the user to manage a collection of binary kernel patch modules which can be used to dynamically patch the kernel without rebooting.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install kpatch
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install kpatch.
Install kpatch on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install kpatch
using yum
