dnstap module for Knot Resolver supports logging DNS responses to a unix socket in dnstap format using fstrm framing library. This logging is useful if you need effectivelly log all DNS traffic.

We can use yum or dnf to install knot-resolver-module-dnstap on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install knot-resolver-module-dnstap.

Install knot-resolver-module-dnstap on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install knot-resolver-module-dnstap using yum by running the following command:
