How To Install knot-doc on Ubuntu 18.04

In this tutorial we learn how to install knot-doc on Ubuntu 18.04.
What is knot-doc
knot-doc is:
Knot DNS is a fast, authoritative only, high performance, feature full and open source name server.
Knot DNS is developed by CZ.NIC Labs, the R&D department of .CZ registry and hence is well suited to run anything from the root zone, the top-level domain, to many smaller standard domain names.
This package provides various documents that are useful for maintaining a working Knot DNS installation.
There are three methods to install knot-doc on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install knot-doc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install knot-doc using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install knot-doc
Install knot-doc Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install knot-doc using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install knot-doc
Install knot-doc Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install knot-doc using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install knot-doc
How To Uninstall knot-doc on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the knot-doc package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove knot-doc
Uninstall knot-doc And Its Dependencies
To uninstall knot-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove knot-doc
Remove knot-doc Configurations and Data
To remove knot-doc configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge knot-doc
Remove knot-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove knot-doc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge knot-doc
