How To Install khmer-common on Kali Linux

What is khmer-common
khmer-common is:
khmer is a library and suite of command line tools for working with DNA sequence. It is primarily aimed at short-read sequencing data such as that produced by the Illumina platform. khmer takes a k-mer-centric approach to sequence analysis, hence the name.

There are three methods to install khmer-common on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install khmer-common Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install khmer-common using apt-get by running the following command:

To remove khmer-common configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
