What is keystone-doc

keystone-doc is:

This is the identity service used by OpenStack for authentication (authN) and high-level authorization (authZ). It currently supports token-based authN with user/service authZ, and is scalable to support OAuth, SAML, and OpenID in future versions. Out of the box, Keystone uses SQLite for its identity store database, with the option to connect to external LDAP.

There are three methods to install keystone-doc on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install keystone-doc Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install keystone-doc using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install keystone-doc

Install keystone-doc Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install keystone-doc using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install keystone-doc

Install keystone-doc Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install keystone-doc using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install keystone-doc

How To Uninstall keystone-doc on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the keystone-doc package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove keystone-doc

Uninstall keystone-doc And Its Dependencies

To uninstall keystone-doc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove keystone-doc

Remove keystone-doc Configurations and Data

To remove keystone-doc configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge keystone-doc

Remove keystone-doc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove keystone-doc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge keystone-doc
