How To Install kdeutils on Ubuntu 18.04

What is kdeutils
kdeutils is:
KDE is produced by an international technology team that creates free and open source software for desktop and portable computing. Among KDE’s products are a modern desktop system for Linux and UNIX platforms, comprehensive office productivity and groupware suites and hundreds of software titles in many categories including Internet and web applications, multimedia, entertainment, educational, graphics and software development.
This metapackage includes general-purpose utilities provided with the official release of KDE.
There are three methods to install kdeutils on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install kdeutils Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install kdeutils using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install kdeutils
Install kdeutils Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install kdeutils using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install kdeutils
Install kdeutils Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install kdeutils using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install kdeutils
How To Uninstall kdeutils on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the kdeutils package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove kdeutils
Uninstall kdeutils And Its Dependencies
To uninstall kdeutils and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove kdeutils
Remove kdeutils Configurations and Data
To remove kdeutils configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge kdeutils
Remove kdeutils configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove kdeutils configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge kdeutils
