How To Install kcapi-tools on Ubuntu 18.04

What is kcapi-tools
kcapi-tools is:
The Linux kernel exports a Netlink interface of type AF_ALG to allow user space to utilize the kernel crypto API. libkcapi uses this Netlink interface and exports easy to use APIs so that a developer does not need to consider the low-level Netlink interface handling.
The library does not implement any cipher algorithms. All consumer requests are sent to the kernel for processing. Results from the kernel crypto API are returned to the consumer via the library API.
The kernel interface and therefore this library can be used by unprivileged processes.

There are three methods to install kcapi-tools on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install kcapi-tools Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install kcapi-tools using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install kcapi-tools

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install kcapi-tools using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install kcapi-tools

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install kcapi-tools using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install kcapi-tools
How To Uninstall kcapi-tools on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the kcapi-tools package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove kcapi-tools
Uninstall kcapi-tools And Its Dependencies
To uninstall kcapi-tools and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove kcapi-tools
Remove kcapi-tools Configurations and Data
To remove kcapi-tools configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge kcapi-tools
Remove kcapi-tools configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove kcapi-tools configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge kcapi-tools
