How To Install katex on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install katex on Kali Linux.
What is katex
katex is:
KaTeX is a fast, easy-to-use JavaScript library for TeX math rendering on the web.
KaTeX supports all major browsers, including Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Opera, Edge, and IE 9 - IE 11.
This package provides a command line interface for KaTeX, which can be used to render TeX to HTML. By default, CLI will take the input from standard input.
Node.js is an event-based server-side JavaScript engine.
There are three methods to install katex on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install katex Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install katex using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install katexInstall katex Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install katex using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the katex package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove katexUninstall katex And Its Dependencies
To uninstall katex and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove katexRemove katex Configurations and Data
To remove katex configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge katexRemove katex configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge katexDependencies
