How To Install junior-math on Ubuntu 18.04

What is junior-math
junior-math is:
This metapackage will install educational math programs suitable for children. Some of the packages use mathematics that is well beyond the abilities of young children (e.g. fractals and cryptography), but hopefully using these let them gain an appreciation of the beauty of math from an early age. Other packages allow children to explore and learn math concepts in an engaging, interactive way. Some packages are more general, providing math activities as only one part of the package, e.g. bsdgames includes “arithmetic” in addition to other non-math games, and x11-apps provides xcalc.
There are three methods to install junior-math on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install junior-math Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install junior-math using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install junior-math
Install junior-math Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install junior-math using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install junior-math
Install junior-math Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install junior-math using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install junior-math
How To Uninstall junior-math on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the junior-math package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove junior-math
Uninstall junior-math And Its Dependencies
To uninstall junior-math and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove junior-math
Remove junior-math Configurations and Data
To remove junior-math configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge junior-math
Remove junior-math configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove junior-math configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge junior-math
