How To Install jsmath on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install jsmath on Kali Linux.
What is jsmath
jsmath is:
Provides a method of including mathematics in HTML pages that works across multiple browsers under Windows, Macintosh OS X, Linux and other flavors of Unix. It overcomes a number of the shortcomings of the traditional method of using images to represent mathematics: jsMath uses native fonts, so they resize when you change the size of the text in your browser, they print at the full resolution of your printer, and you don’t have to wait for dozens of images to be downloaded in order to see the mathematics in a web page.
There are three methods to install jsmath on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install jsmath Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install jsmath using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install jsmathInstall jsmath Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install jsmath using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install jsmathInstall jsmath Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install jsmath using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install jsmathHow To Uninstall jsmath on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the jsmath package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove jsmathUninstall jsmath And Its Dependencies
To uninstall jsmath and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove jsmathRemove jsmath Configurations and Data
To remove jsmath configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge jsmathRemove jsmath configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove jsmath configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge jsmathDependencies
