How To Install js2-mode on Ubuntu 18.04

What is js2-mode

This JavaScript editing mode supports:
- the full JavaScript language through version 1.7
- support for most Rhino and SpiderMonkey extensions from 1.5 to 1.7
- accurate syntax highlighting using a recursive-descent parser
- syntax-error and strict-mode warning reporting
- “bouncing” line indentation to choose among alternate indentation points
- smart line-wrapping within comments and strings

This transitional package can be safely removed.
There are three methods to install js2-mode on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install js2-mode Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update

How To Uninstall js2-mode on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the js2-mode package we can use the following command:

To uninstall js2-mode and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove js2-mode

To remove js2-mode configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge js2-mode

We can use the following command to remove js2-mode configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
