How To Install isns-utils on CentOS 7
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install isns-utils
on CentOS 7.
What is isns-utils
The iSNS package contains the daemon and tools to setup a iSNS server, and iSNS client tools. The Internet Storage Name Service (iSNS) protocol allows automated discovery, management and configuration of iSCSI and Fibre Channel devices (using iFCP gateways) on a TCP/IP network.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install isns-utils
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install isns-utils.
Install isns-utils on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install isns-utils
using yum
by running the following command:
Install isns-utils on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
