How To Install irsim on Debian 11
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install irsim on Debian 11.
What is irsim
irsim is:
IRSIM is a tool for simulating digital circuits. It is a “switch-level” simulator; that is, it treats transistors as ideal switches. Extracted capacitance and lumped resistance values are used to make the switch a little bit more realistic than the ideal, using the RC time constants to predict the relative timing of events.
There are three methods to install irsim on Debian 11. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install irsim Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install irsim using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install irsim
