How To Install iraf-fitsutil on Debian 12

iraf-fitsutil is:
Several tasks to operate of FITS files and extensions from within IRAF, like copying, extension extraction, conversion etc.

- ricepack: Rice compress a FITS file
- sum32: Compute the 32-bit FITS 1’s complement checksum
There are three methods to install iraf-fitsutil on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

How To Uninstall iraf-fitsutil on Debian 12
To uninstall only the iraf-fitsutil package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove iraf-fitsutil
Uninstall iraf-fitsutil And Its Dependencies
To uninstall iraf-fitsutil and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove iraf-fitsutil
Remove iraf-fitsutil Configurations and Data
To remove iraf-fitsutil configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge iraf-fitsutil

We can use the following command to remove iraf-fitsutil configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
