What is iptstate

IP Tables State (iptstate) was originally written to implement the “state top” feature of IP Filter in IP Tables. “State top” displays the states held by your stateful firewall in a top-like manner. Since IP Tables doesn’t have a built in way to easily display this information even once, an option was added to just have it display the state table once. Install iptstate on CentOS 7 Using yum

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache

After updating yum database, We can install iptstate using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install iptstate

Install iptstate on CentOS 7 Using dnf

If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first. Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache

After updating yum database, We can install iptstate using dnf by running the following command:

sudo dnf -y install iptstate

How To Uninstall iptstate on CentOS 7

To uninstall only the iptstate package we can use the following command:

sudo dnf remove iptstate
