The iptables package also includes ip6tables. ip6tables is used for configuring the IPv6 packet filter

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

How To Uninstall iptables on Ubuntu 18.04

sudo apt-get -y autoremove iptables

Remove iptables Configurations and Data

To remove iptables configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge iptables
