What is `ipa-common`

IPA is an integrated solution to provide centrally managed Identity (users, hosts, services), Authentication (SSO, 2FA), and Authorization (host access control, SELinux user roles, services). The solution provides features for further integration with Linux based clients (SUDO, automount) and integration with Active Directory based infrastructures (Trusts). If you are using IPA, you need to install this package.

Update yum database with dnf using the following command.

sudo dnf makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install ipa-common using dnf by running the following command:

Update yum database with yum using the following command.

sudo yum makecache --refresh

After updating yum database, We can install ipa-common using yum by running the following command:

sudo yum -y install ipa-common
