How To Install inputlirc on Kali Linux

What is inputlirc
inputlirc is:
This is a small LIRC-compatible daemon that reads from /dev/input/eventX devices and sends the received keycodes to connecting LIRC clients. Inputlircd needs no configuration, it uses the standardised names for the keycodes as used by the kernel. Many USB remote controls that present HID devices, as well as multimedia keyboards should work out of the box.
There are three methods to install inputlirc on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install inputlirc Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

To uninstall only the inputlirc package we can use the following command:

To uninstall inputlirc and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove inputlircRemove inputlirc Configurations and Data
To remove inputlirc configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge inputlircRemove inputlirc configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove inputlirc configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge inputlircDependencies
