How To Install indi-gige on Debian 12

What is indi-gige
indi-gige is:
This package contains an INDI driver for most GigE machine vision cameras through project Aravis.
Machine vision GigE cameras are designed towards throughput, and hence provide emphasis on high-speed video streaming. The main design goal for this driver is to use these cameras as primary imager or for guiding. Therefore, the main goal of this driver is not to provide high-speed video streams, but to control these cameras more or less as a generic CCD camera with a manual trigger and manual exposure controls.
Many of the pre-processing features found on many of these cameras have therefore been not exposed.
This driver is compatible with any INDI client such as KStars or Xephem.
There are three methods to install indi-gige on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install indi-gige Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install indi-gige using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install indi-gige

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install indi-gige using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install indi-gige
Install indi-gige Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install indi-gige using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install indi-gige
How To Uninstall indi-gige on Debian 12
To uninstall only the indi-gige package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove indi-gige
Uninstall indi-gige And Its Dependencies
To uninstall indi-gige and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove indi-gige
Remove indi-gige Configurations and Data
To remove indi-gige configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge indi-gige
