In this tutorial we learn how to install imlib2
on CentOS 7.
What is imlib2
Imlib 2 is a library that does image file loading and saving as well as rendering, manipulation, arbitrary polygon support, etc. It does ALL of these operations FAST. Imlib2 also tries to be highly intelligent about doing them, so writing naive programs can be done easily, without sacrificing speed. This is a complete rewrite over the Imlib 1.x series. The architecture is more modular, simple, and flexible.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install imlib2
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install imlib2.
Install imlib2 on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install imlib2
using yum
by running the following command:
Install imlib2 on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
