How To Install imageindex on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install imageindex on Kali Linux.
What is imageindex
imageindex is:
Imageindex generates standards-compliant static HTML galleries of images (usually JPG photos, but can deal with images of just about any format). Some features:
* Only out-of-date thumbnail/medium images are generated
* Captions come from comments embedded in images (never get lost!)
* Output is customizable with CSS stylesheets
* Can fetch EXIF header data from digicam photos
* Can optionally recurse directory trees
* Index, detail, slide, and frame views
* Can use mplayer for dealing with video files.
There are three methods to install imageindex on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install imageindex Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install imageindex using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install imageindexInstall imageindex Using apt
