How To Install ilmbase on CentOS 7

What is ilmbase
Half is a class that encapsulates the ilm 16-bit floating-point format. IlmThread is a thread abstraction library for use with OpenEXR and other software packages. Imath implements 2D and 3D vectors, 3x3 and 4x4 matrices, quaternions and other useful 2D and 3D math functions. Iex is an exception-handling library. We can use yum or dnf to install ilmbase on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install ilmbase.
Install ilmbase on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install ilmbase using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install ilmbase
Install ilmbase on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install ilmbase using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install ilmbase
How To Uninstall ilmbase on CentOS 7
To uninstall only the ilmbase package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove ilmbase
