How To Install igtf-policy-mics on Ubuntu 20.04

igtf-policy-mics is:
The Interoperable Global Trust Federation (IGTF) maintains a common trust base for the benefit of distributed science and research computing infrastructures. It provides a list of accredited trust anchors, with root certificates, certificate revocation list locations, contact information, and signing policies.
This package contains the trust anchors for the MICS (Member Integrated Credential Services) profile. See also: http://www.eugridpma.org/guidelines/MICS/
There are three methods to install igtf-policy-mics on Ubuntu 20.04. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install igtf-policy-mics Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install igtf-policy-mics using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install igtf-policy-mics
Install igtf-policy-mics Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install igtf-policy-mics using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install igtf-policy-mics
Install igtf-policy-mics Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install igtf-policy-mics using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install igtf-policy-mics
How To Uninstall igtf-policy-mics on Ubuntu 20.04
To uninstall only the igtf-policy-mics package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove igtf-policy-mics
Uninstall igtf-policy-mics And Its Dependencies
To uninstall igtf-policy-mics and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 20.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove igtf-policy-mics
Remove igtf-policy-mics Configurations and Data
To remove igtf-policy-mics configuration and data from Ubuntu 20.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge igtf-policy-mics
Remove igtf-policy-mics configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove igtf-policy-mics configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge igtf-policy-mics
