How To Install icon-ipl on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install icon-ipl on Kali Linux.

What is icon-ipl

icon-ipl is:

Ideal for both complex nonnumerical applications and for situations where users need quick solutions with a minimum of programming effort, Icon is a high-level, general purpose programming language with a syntax similar to Pascal and C. Its applications include: rapid prototyping, analyzing natural languages, generating computer programs, and artificial intelligence. This package contains the Icon program library, a library of Icon procedures and programs contributed by Icon users.

There are three methods to install icon-ipl on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install icon-ipl Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install icon-ipl using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install icon-ipl

Install icon-ipl Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install icon-ipl using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install icon-ipl

Install icon-ipl Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install icon-ipl using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install icon-ipl

How To Uninstall icon-ipl on Kali Linux

To uninstall only the icon-ipl package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove icon-ipl

Uninstall icon-ipl And Its Dependencies

To uninstall icon-ipl and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:

sudo apt-get -y autoremove icon-ipl

Remove icon-ipl Configurations and Data

To remove icon-ipl configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge icon-ipl

Remove icon-ipl configuration, data, and all of its dependencies

We can use the following command to remove icon-ipl configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
