IceS 2.x is used to source Icecast 2 streaming audio servers with Ogg Vorbis audio streams. It supports both live audio input from a soundcard and re-encoding of Ogg Vorbis files from a playlist.

There are three methods to install ices2 on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install ices2 Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install ices2 using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install ices2

After updating apt database, We can install ices2 using apt by running the following command:
