How To Install icedax on CentOS 7
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install icedax
on CentOS 7.
What is icedax
Icedax is a sampling utility for CD-ROM drives that are capable of providing a CD’s audio data in digital form to your host. Audio data read from the CD can be saved as .wav or .sun format sound files. Recording formats include stereo/mono, 8/12/16 bits and different rates. Icedax can also be used as a CD player.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install icedax
on CentOS 7. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install icedax.
Install icedax on CentOS 7 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
After updating yum database, We can install icedax
using yum
by running the following command:
Install icedax on CentOS 7 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
