How To Install httpry on Rocky Linux 8
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install httpry
on Rocky Linux 8.
What is httpry
httpry is a specialized packet sniffer designed for displaying and logging HTTP traffic. It is not intended to perform analysis itself, but to capture, parse, and log the traffic for later analysis. It can be run in real-time displaying the traffic as it is parsed, or as a daemon process that logs to an output file. It is written to be as lightweight and flexible as possible, so that it can be easily adaptable to different applications.
We can use yum
or dnf
to install httpry
on Rocky Linux 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install httpry.
Install httpry on Rocky Linux 8 Using dnf
Update yum database with dnf
using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install httpry
using dnf
by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install httpry
Install httpry on Rocky Linux 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum
using the following command.
sudo yum makecache --refresh
After updating yum database, We can install httpry
using yum
by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install httpry
How To Uninstall httpry on Rocky Linux 8
To uninstall only the httpry
package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove httpry
