What is homer-api
homer-api is:
HOMER5 a robust, carrier-grade, scalable SIP Capture system and Monitoring Application with HEP/HEP2, IP Proto4 (IPIP) encapsulation & port mirroring/monitoring support right out of the box, ready to process & store insane amounts of signaling with instant search, end-to-end analysis and drill-down capabilities for ITSPs, VoIP Providers and Trunk Suppliers using SIP signaling.
This package provides the API for handling data aggregated from the capture agent(s).
There are three methods to install homer-api on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install homer-api Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install homer-api using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install homer-api
Install homer-api Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install homer-api using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install homer-api
Install homer-api Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install homer-api using aptitude by running the following command:

How To Uninstall homer-api on Debian 12
