How To Install hey on Debian 12
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install hey on Debian 12.
What is hey
hey is:
HTTP load generator, ApacheBench (ab) replacement, formerly known as rakyll/boom
Originally called boom and was influenced from Tarek Ziade’s tool at github.com/tarekziade/boom. Using the same name was a mistake as it resulted in cases where binary name conflicts created confusion.
To preserve the name for its original owner, this project was renamed to hey.
There are three methods to install hey on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install hey Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install hey using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install hey

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
