How To Install help2man on CentOS 8

What is help2man
help2man is a script to create simple man pages from the –help and –version output of programs. Since most GNU documentation is now in info format, this provides a way to generate a placeholder man page pointing to that resource while still providing some useful information.
We can use yum or dnf to install help2man on CentOS 8. In this tutorial we discuss both methods but you only need to choose one of method to install help2man.
Install help2man on CentOS 8 Using yum
Update yum database with yum using the following command.
sudo yum makecache
After updating yum database, We can install help2man using yum by running the following command:
sudo yum -y install help2man
Install help2man on CentOS 8 Using dnf
If you don’t have dnf installed you can install DNF on CentOS 7 first.
Update yum database with dnf using the following command.
sudo dnf makecache
After updating yum database, We can install help2man using dnf by running the following command:
sudo dnf -y install help2man
How To Uninstall help2man on CentOS 8
To uninstall only the help2man package we can use the following command:
sudo dnf remove help2man
