How To Install haskell-platform on Kali Linux

Installing this meta package will also install the Debian packages containing the libraries and tools as specified in the official Haskell Platform, in the version available in Debian. This may or may not be the version specified in the platform. If this is of relevance to you, please check them on the official Haskell Platform homepage.
There are three methods to install haskell-platform
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install haskell-platform Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install haskell-platform
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install haskell-platform
Install haskell-platform Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install haskell-platform
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install haskell-platform
Install haskell-platform Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install haskell-platform
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install haskell-platform
How To Uninstall haskell-platform on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the haskell-platform
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove haskell-platform
Uninstall haskell-platform And Its Dependencies
To uninstall haskell-platform
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove haskell-platform
Remove haskell-platform Configurations and Data
To remove haskell-platform
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge haskell-platform
Remove haskell-platform configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove haskell-platform
configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge haskell-platform
