How To Install haskell-platform on Kali Linux

What is haskell-platform

The Haskell Platform is a suite of tools and libraries that contain the most important and best supported components. It is meant to be a starting point for Haskell developers who are looking for libraries to use.
Installing this meta package will also install the Debian packages containing the libraries and tools as specified in the official Haskell Platform, in the version available in Debian. This may or may not be the version specified in the platform. If this is of relevance to you, please check them on the official Haskell Platform homepage.
There are three methods to install haskell-platform on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install haskell-platform Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install haskell-platform using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install haskell-platformInstall haskell-platform Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install haskell-platform using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install haskell-platformInstall haskell-platform Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install haskell-platform using aptitude by running the following command:

To uninstall only the haskell-platform package we can use the following command:

To uninstall haskell-platform and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove haskell-platformRemove haskell-platform Configurations and Data
To remove haskell-platform configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge haskell-platformRemove haskell-platform configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
