How To Install hashcat-nvidia on Ubuntu 18.04

Hashcat is an advanced CPU/GPU-based password recovery utility supporting seven unique modes of attack for over 100 optimized hashing algorithms.
This metapackage makes it easy to install the required dependencies when you want to use hashcat with your NVIDIA GPU (via OpenCL).
There are three methods to install hashcat-nvidia
on Ubuntu 18.04. We can use apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get

After updating apt database, We can install hashcat-nvidia

Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install hashcat-nvidia
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install hashcat-nvidia
Install hashcat-nvidia Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Ubuntu. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update

How To Uninstall hashcat-nvidia on Ubuntu 18.04
To uninstall only the hashcat-nvidia
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove hashcat-nvidia
Uninstall hashcat-nvidia And Its Dependencies
To uninstall hashcat-nvidia
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Ubuntu 18.04, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove hashcat-nvidia
Remove hashcat-nvidia Configurations and Data
To remove hashcat-nvidia
configuration and data from Ubuntu 18.04 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge hashcat-nvidia
