How To Install hadori on Kali Linux
Introduction
In this tutorial we learn how to install hadori on Kali Linux.
What is hadori
hadori is:
This might look like yet another hardlinking tool, but it is the only one which only memorizes one filename per inode. That results in less memory consumption and faster execution compared to its alternatives. Therefore (and because all the other names are already taken) it’s called “HArdlinking DOne RIght”.
Advantages over other hardlinking tools:
- predictability: arguments are scanned in order, each first version is kept
- much lower CPU and memory consumption
There are three methods to install hadori on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install hadori Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install hadori using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install hadoriInstall hadori Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install hadori using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install hadoriInstall hadori Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.
sudo aptitude updateAfter updating apt database, We can install hadori using aptitude by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install hadoriHow To Uninstall hadori on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the hadori package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove hadoriUninstall hadori And Its Dependencies
To uninstall hadori and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove hadoriRemove hadori Configurations and Data
To remove hadori configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge hadoriRemove hadori configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove hadori configurations, data and all of its dependencies, we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove --purge hadoriDependencies
