How To Install gzrt on Kali Linux

Introduction

In this tutorial we learn how to install gzrt on Kali Linux.

What is gzrt

gzrt is:

gzrecover will attempt to skip over corrupted data in a gzip archive, thereby allowing the remaining data to be recovered.

Please install cpio to facilitate recovery from damaged gzipped tarballs.

There are three methods to install gzrt on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install gzrt Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install gzrt using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install gzrt

sudo aptitude -y install gzrt

sudo apt-get remove gzrt
