How To Install gss-doc on Kali Linux

The GNU Generic Security Service Library (GSSLib) is a free implementation of the GSS-API security framework. GSSLib uses Shishi to implement the Kerberos V5 mechanism, but is flexible enough to support other mechanisms too.

This package contain the manual in HTML, PDF and Info formats, and API reference in GTK-DOC and Devhelp formats.

There are three methods to install gss-doc on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.

Install gss-doc Using apt-get

Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.

sudo apt-get update

After updating apt database, We can install gss-doc using apt-get by running the following command:

sudo apt-get -y install gss-doc

Install gss-doc Using apt

Update apt database with apt using the following command.

sudo apt update

After updating apt database, We can install gss-doc using apt by running the following command:

sudo apt -y install gss-doc

Install gss-doc Using aptitude

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo aptitude update

After updating apt database, We can install gss-doc using aptitude by running the following command:

sudo aptitude -y install gss-doc

To uninstall only the gss-doc package we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get remove gss-doc

sudo apt-get -y autoremove gss-doc

To remove gss-doc configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:

sudo apt-get -y purge gss-doc
