How To Install gsasl-common on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install gsasl-common on Kali Linux.
What is gsasl-common
gsasl-common is:
GNU SASL is an implementation of the Simple Authentication and Security Layer framework and a few common SASL mechanisms. SASL is used by network servers (e.g., IMAP, SMTP) to request authentication from clients, and in clients to authenticate against servers.
This package contains translation of diagnostic messages.
There are three methods to install gsasl-common on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gsasl-common Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install gsasl-common using apt-get by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

sudo apt-get -y autoremove gsasl-commonRemove gsasl-common Configurations and Data
To remove gsasl-common configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gsasl-commonRemove gsasl-common configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
