How To Install grub-coreboot on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install grub-coreboot on Kali Linux.
What is grub-coreboot
grub-coreboot is:
GRUB is a portable, powerful bootloader. This version of GRUB is based on a cleaner design than its predecessors, and provides the following new features:
- Scripting in grub.cfg using BASH-like syntax.
- Support for modern partition maps such as GPT.
- Modular generation of grub.cfg via update-grub. Packages providing GRUB add-ons can plug in their own script rules and trigger updates by invoking update-grub.
This is a dependency package for a version of GRUB that has been built for use with platforms running the Coreboot firmware. Installing this package indicates that this version of GRUB should be the active boot loader.
There are three methods to install grub-coreboot on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install grub-coreboot Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install grub-coreboot using apt-get by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the grub-coreboot package we can use the following command:

To uninstall grub-coreboot and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove grub-corebootRemove grub-coreboot Configurations and Data
To remove grub-coreboot configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge grub-corebootRemove grub-coreboot configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
