How To Install groovy on Kali Linux

on Kali Linux.
What is groovy
groovy is:
Groovy is an agile dynamic language for the JVM combining lots of great features from languages like Python, Ruby and Smalltalk and making them available to the Java developers using a Java-like syntax.
Groovy is designed to help you get things done on the Java platform in a quicker, more concise and fun way - bringing the power of Python and Ruby inside the Java platform.
Groovy can be used as an alternative compiler to javac to generate standard Java bytecode to be used by any Java project or it can be used dynamically as an alternative language such as for scripting Java objects, templating or writing unit test cases.
There are three methods to install groovy
on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get
, apt
and aptitude
. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install groovy Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get
using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install groovy
using apt-get
by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install groovy
Install groovy Using apt
Update apt database with apt
using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install groovy
using apt
by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install groovy
Install groovy Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude
using the following command.
sudo aptitude update
After updating apt database, We can install groovy
using aptitude
by running the following command:
sudo aptitude -y install groovy
How To Uninstall groovy on Kali Linux
To uninstall only the groovy
package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove groovy
Uninstall groovy And Its Dependencies
To uninstall groovy
and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove groovy
Remove groovy Configurations and Data
To remove groovy
configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge groovy
Remove groovy configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
We can use the following command to remove groovy
