How To Install gromit-mpx on Debian 12

What is gromit-mpx
gromit-mpx is:
Gromit-MPX enables you to make annotations on your screen using multiple pointing devices at once.
This is especially useful when making presentations, to highlight things or point out things of interest.
Gromit-MPX is XInput-Aware, so if you have a graphic tablet you can draw lines with different strength, color, erase things, etc.
There are three methods to install gromit-mpx on Debian 12. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install gromit-mpx Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get update
After updating apt database, We can install gromit-mpx using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install gromit-mpx

Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt update
After updating apt database, We can install gromit-mpx using apt by running the following command:

If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Debian. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

After updating apt database, We can install gromit-mpx using aptitude by running the following command:

How To Uninstall gromit-mpx on Debian 12
To uninstall only the gromit-mpx package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove gromit-mpx

To uninstall gromit-mpx and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Debian 12, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove gromit-mpx
Remove gromit-mpx Configurations and Data
To remove gromit-mpx configuration and data from Debian 12 we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge gromit-mpx
