How To Install grokevt on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install grokevt on Kali Linux.
What is grokevt
grokevt is:
GrokEVT is a collection of scripts built for reading Microsoft Windows NT/2000/XP/2003 event log files.
Currently the scripts work together on one or more mounted Microsoft Windows partitions to extract all information needed (registry entries, message templates, and log files) to convert the logs to a human-readable format.
This program is useful in forensics investigations.
There are three methods to install grokevt on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install grokevt Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install grokevt using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install grokevtInstall grokevt Using apt
