How To Install grig on Kali Linux

In this tutorial we learn how to install grig on Kali Linux.
What is grig
grig is:
GNOME RIG is a graphical user interface to the Ham Radio Control Libraries, which lets you control your communication radios and/or antenna rotators from a personal computer. GNOME RIG is written using the Gtk+ and GNOME widgets.
GNOME RIG is in a very early stage and it supports only a very little subset of the full Hamlib API, but it can be very useful in testing basic hamlib support for your rig.
There are three methods to install grig on Kali Linux. We can use apt-get, apt and aptitude. In the following sections we will describe each method. You can choose one of them.
Install grig Using apt-get
Update apt database with apt-get using the following command.
sudo apt-get updateAfter updating apt database, We can install grig using apt-get by running the following command:
sudo apt-get -y install grigInstall grig Using apt
Update apt database with apt using the following command.
sudo apt updateAfter updating apt database, We can install grig using apt by running the following command:
sudo apt -y install grigInstall grig Using aptitude
If you want to follow this method, you might need to install aptitude on Kali Linux first since aptitude is usually not installed by default on Kali Linux. Update apt database with aptitude using the following command.

To uninstall only the grig package we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get remove grigUninstall grig And Its Dependencies
To uninstall grig and its dependencies that are no longer needed by Kali Linux, we can use the command below:
sudo apt-get -y autoremove grigRemove grig Configurations and Data
To remove grig configuration and data from Kali Linux we can use the following command:
sudo apt-get -y purge grigRemove grig configuration, data, and all of its dependencies
